abstract |
The present invention addresses the problem of discovering a novel method for improving the productivity in the production of a water-absorbing resin and water-absorbing agent having good water-absorbing properties. The present invention pertains to a water-absorbing resin obtained by polymerizing a water-soluble ethylenic unsaturated monomer in the presence of a water-soluble polymerization initiator, wherein the water-absorbing resin satisfies all of (A)-(C). (A) The pure water absorption capacity is 500 g/g or higher; (B) the pure water-swollen gel fluidity is 25 g/5 min or higher; (C) the amount of polymer dissolved in the waste water is less than 400 ppm. |
