abstract This polyester film for use in a metal plate laminate is corrosion resistant, can be adhered at relatively low temperatures to a metal plate, has properties optimal for can manufacturing, and, after being manufactured into a can, allows for simple joint repair. This polyester film for use in a metal plate laminate is configured from two layers, an A layer and a B layer, and is characterized in that the resin configuring the A layer is a polyester resin in which the total content of ethylene terephthalate units and diethylene terephthalate units is 95-98 mol% out of 100 mol% of all constituent units of the polyester, and the resin configuring the B layer comprises 80-100 mass% of a polyester resin (B1) that is primarily ethylene terephthalate, and 0-20 mass% of a polyester resin (B2) having a composition different from that of the polyester resin (B1).
