abstract The invention relates to an implant, in particular a dental implant, comprising an anchoring region (12) for anchoring in a bone and preferably having a screw thread (14) for screwing into the bone, and comprising a fastening region (22) for fastening a supra-construction, an implant abutment region (16) adjoining the anchoring region (12) being provided and having, on its outer surface, a guide structure with a plurality of outwardly projecting ridges (18) between which preferably grooves (20) are formed. The guide structure of the anchoring region allows improved osseointegration and counteracts peri-implant bone loss.
