Provided are a resin composition having excellent transparency, surface hardness, and surface smoothness as well as little whitening when heated and a method for producing the resin composition, and a molded article, film, and article having excellent impact resistance. The composition includes a specific ratio of a methacrylic resin (A) having 80 mass% or more structural units derived from methyl methacrylate and a melt viscosity η(A) at a shear velocity of 122/sec at 220°C of 1,500-3,500 Pa⋅s and a triblock copolymer (B) having methacrylic acid ester polymer blocks (b2) bonded to both ends of an acrylic acid ester polymer block (b1). The triblock copolymer (B) has a specific ratio of the acrylic acid ester polymer block (b1) and methacrylic acid ester polymer blocks (b2), and the melt viscosity η(B) of the triblock copolymer (B) at a shear velocity of 122/sec at 220°C is 75-1500 Pa⋅s, and η(A)/η(B) is 1-20. |
