abstract |
This deterioration assessment method for sealed-type secondary battery comprises: the step of detecting a deformation of the sealed-type secondary battery, and determining a first curve representing the relationship between the detected amount of deformation for the sealed-type secondary battery and a discharge capacity from a fully-charged state or a charge capacity to the fully-charged state; the step of determining a second curve L3 representing the relationship between a charge-discharge capacity thereof and the slope of the first curve; the step of establishing that a deterioration mode due to widening of reaction distribution has been determined, if the charge-discharge capacity calculated on the basis of the width of a peak appearing in the second curve L3 is greater than a charge-discharge capacity Qws3, Qws4 calculated on the basis of the width of a peak in a predetermined standard state corresponding thereto. |
