The present invention provides a lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engines that has excellent fuel-saving performance by further reducing friction. The lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engines contains, in (A) a lubricant base oil with a dynamic viscosity at 100°C of 2.0-5.0 mm 2 /s, (B) a molybdenum friction modifier in an amount of 0.005-0.2 mass% in terms of molybdenum content relative to the total amount of the composition, (C) a salicylate metal cleaning agent in an amount of 0.01-1 mass% in terms of metal content relative to the total amount of the composition, and (D) at least one compound selected from amino acids with a C15 to C24 alkyl group, alkenyl group or acyl group and/or derivatives thereof in an amount of 0.01-10 mass%. |
