abstract The present invention relates to a mesenchymal stem cell culture medium composition containing an Ecklonia cava extract. In addition, the present invention relates to a method for culturing or a method for differentiating mesenchymal stem cells by using the medium composition. The mesenchymal stem cell culture medium composition according to the present invention can remarkably increase the growth rate of mesenchymal stem cells, thereby improving stem cell production efficiency. Furthermore, the mesenchymal stem cells cultured according to the culturing method of the present invention can be differentiated into various cells and the differentiated tissue cells can be used as a cellular therapeutic agent.
