Phenolic resin sourced carbon anode for a lithium ion capacitor |
abstract |
A method for producing an anode for a lithium ion capacitor, the carbon matterial is based on phenolic resin source. The method comprises a first step of heat treating of phenolic resin to produce carbon particles at from 950 to 1150°C in an inert atmosphere, then treating the particles with an acid followed by treating them with a base, a second heat treating of the carbone particles treated with the acid and the base at from 950 to 1700°C in an inert atmosphere, mixing the second heat treated carbon particles with a binder and a solvent to form a mixture and applying the mixture on a conductive current collector to form an electrode. |
