abstract |
The present invention provides powder drug combinations and processes which convert powders to sponges/cakes/tablets/gels/pastes/granules in-situ in package system during manufacture. The sponges upon uptake of water disintegrates immediately and converts instantly to gel state and subsequently to solution or disperse system at the site of administration. The powders upon spreading on moistened surface, immediately converts to gel state in-situ and adhered on to the surface. The natural evaporation of water changes the gel state to flexible patch state for retention and easy removal from surface. The powder combinations release the drug immediately, sustained, delayed or mixed manner. These powder systems can be used for local or systemic effect. |
