abstract |
Provided are: a direct reduced iron compacting method capable of effectively removing the gas present in direct reduced iron; a direct reduced iron compacting apparatus; and a molten iron manufacturing apparatus containing the same. The direct reduced iron compacting method comprises the steps of: i) filling the space in reduced iron with one or more gases selected from the group consisting of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide; and ii) allowing carbon monoxide to convert into carbon dioxide and carbon while compacting reduced iron. |
