This method for reinforcing a contamination-resistant film is characterized in having a step for applying and curing a reinforcing coat composition [o] to form a reinforcing film (O), and a step for applying and curing a contamination resistant coat composition [x] to dispose the contamination resistant film (X) thus formed on the reinforcing film (O), the reinforcing coat composition [o] containing (AO) an organopolysiloxane having two or more silanol groups or hydrolysable groups in a single molecule and (BO) a pyrithione salt compound, the contamination resistant coat composition [x] containing (AX) an organopolysiloxane having two or more silanol groups or hydrolysable groups in a single molecule and (BX) an antifoulant, and the deposited film (X) being reinforced by the reinforcing film (O). In accordance with the present invention, high impact resistance can be imparted to a contamination-resistant film, conventionally problematic peeling and chipping of the film due to physical external damage can thereby be reduced, and stable antifouling performance can be obtained. |
