The present invention provides for the use of catalysts for removal of oxygen from gases comprising one or more ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbons, characterized in that one or more catalysts comprise, as active components, a) one or more alkali metals, b) one or more metals selected from the group comprising gold and cadmium, and c) one or more metals selected from the group comprising palladium, platinum, rhodium, iridium and ruthenium, where the active components a), b) and c) are independently in metallic form, in the form of an alloy or in the form of salts. |
