abstract | The invention relates to a device for treating rib fractures, comprising at least two flanges (6), each flange (6) having a filiform end and a mobile anchoring element (7) with a projection (8), and a prosthesis (1) with a transverse curvature, which can be moulded to fit longitudinally to the curvature of the rib in the area where it is to be positioned. It has protrusions (5) along the central axis (2) in order to prevent the prosthesis (1) from sliding on the rib, and openings (4) for inserting the projections (8) of the flanges (6). Once each fracture to be treated in the same rib has been located, the flanges (6) are attached to the prosthesis (1) in positions located on both sides of each fracture in order to ensure the alignment of the rib. |
