abstract |
The present invention provides a novel polymer composition whereby alignment control performance is imparted at high efficiency, and whereby a liquid crystal alignment film for an in-plane switching liquid crystal display element having excellent image persistence characteristics is provided, and a liquid crystal alignment film for an in-plane switching liquid crystal display element using the same. The present invention relates to a polymer composition containing (A) a photosensitive side-chain polymer expressing liquid crystal properties in a predetermined temperature range, (B) a polymer produced using two or more types of diamine compounds and at least one species selected from a diisocyanate component and a tetracarboxylic acid derivative, and (C) an organic solvent. The present invention also relates to a method for producing a substrate having a liquid crystal alignment film, the method having a step for applying the composition to a substrate having an electroconductive film for in-plane switching and forming a coating film, a step for irradiating the resultant coating film with polarized ultraviolet rays, and a step for heating the resultant coating film. |
