titleOfInvention T cells and dendritic cells for polyomavirus therapy
abstract Disclosed herein are dendritic cells (DCs) expressing one or more polyomavirus antigens. In some examples, these modified DCs are transduced with a viral vector (such as a lenti viral vector) encoding the one or more polyomavirus antigens. The modified DCs are in some examples used to produce polyomavirus antigen-specific T cells. Also disclosed are methods of producing polyomavirus antigen-specific T cells by contacting mononuclear cells with a mixture of peptides from a polyomavirus antigen. The antigen-specific T cells or modified DCs may be administered to a subject to induce or enhance an immune response to polyomavirus in the subject, for example to treat or inhibit polyomavirus infection and/or polyomavirus-associated disease in the subject. Also disclosed herein are methods of making the disclosed modified DCs and polyomavirus antigen-specific T cells.
