abstract |
[Problem] To provide an adhesive composition for polarizing plates, suitable for configurations whereby at least one polarizer protective film normally formed on both surfaces of a polarizer is omitted, warping (bending) of liquid crystal cells can be suppressed, and an adhesive layer having excellent durability can be formed. [Solution] An adhesive composition for polarizing plates, characterized by being used to form an adhesive layer that comes directly in contact with polarizers and by containing a (meth) acrylic copolymer (A) and a crosslinking agent (B), said (meth) acrylic copolymer (A): being obtained by copolymerization of monomer components including a crosslinking functional group-containing monomer and a (meth) acrylate alkyl ester having C4-18 alkyl groups; and having a branching degree of no more than 0.55 as measured by a gel permeation chromatography/multi angle laser light scattering detector (GPC-MALS). |
