abstract Disclosed are a method and apparatus for notifying recovery of a suspended service and processing instruction information. The method comprises: a predetermined network element determines a suspended multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS) to be recovered; and the predetermined network element sends to a base station first instruction information used for instructing that the MBMS needs to be recovered, wherein the first instruction information is used for the base station to send recovery instruction information to a user equipment (UE). By means of the present invention, the problem in the related art of how to recover an MBMS after the MBMS is suspended, how to notify a base station and an affected UE and how the UE performs processing for service recovery is solved, thereby achieving the effect of notifying the base station and the UE in time when the suspended service is recovered.
