titleOfInvention Operating handle and stent delivery system
abstract Provided is an operating handle whereby the total length thereof is reduced and operating properties of the operating handle can be enhanced. A slide mechanism (S) is provided with: a rotor (4) for rotating in conjunction with the rotation of a thumb wheel (3) which is a rotary wheel; and a motive-power transmitting means (T) which is a sliding body (5) for engaging with the rotor (4) and sliding, the motive-power transmitting means (T) being configured from a first divided body (6) in which is formed a first engaging part (6A) engaged with the rotor (4) in an initial state and a second divided body (7) in which is formed a second engaging part (7A) not engaged with the rotor (4) in the initial state and engaging with the rotor (4) at a position at which the rotor (4) and the first engaging part (6A) disengage, the motive-power transmitting means (T) for transmitting motive power to the second divided body (7) when the first divided body (6) slides toward a proximal-end side (A) and causing the first divided body (6) and the second divided body (7) to slide as a single body. When the rotor (4) and the first engaging part (6A) disengage and the first divided body (6) stops, the rotor (4) and the second engaging part (7A) engage and the second divided body (7) slides toward the proximal-end side (A).
