abstract |
The invention relates to a method for depolymerising a polydiene in order to prepare a modified polydiene including mostly a mixture of the species functionalised at one of the ends thereof by one or more functional groups and of the species functionalised at both ends thereof by one or more functional groups, said method including the following steps of adding to a polydiene solution: i) a step of adding a) one or more salts having the following formula (I): K p A q (I) wherein K is a cation with charge n, A is an anion with charge m, n is an integer from 1 to 3, m is an integer from 1 to 3, p is an integer from 1 to 5, and q is an integer from 1 to 5, it being understood that the product of p*n is equal to the product of q*m; and b) one or more metathesis catalysts made of a transition metal selected among the metals of groups 6 and 8; components a) and b) being added simultaneously or separately; and ii) a step of adding one or more transfer agents including said one or more functional groups, step i) being carried out before or after step ii) or simultaneously with step ii), the metathesis catalyst content in the polydiene solution ranging from 0.01 to less than 1800 ppm by weight of transition metal relative to the polydiene. |
