titleOfInvention | Implantable prosthetic ring for correcting and preventing breast areola asymmetry |
abstract | The invention relates to an absorbable circular prosthetic ring for correcting and preventing breast areola asymmetry. The surgical implanting thereof in the plane below the areola allows the reduction of post-surgical traction and tension exerted on the skin, as a result of the structure thereof which contains hollow openings that allow the uniform suturing of adjacent surrounding tissue, and also reduce the risk of fibrosis by allowing the flow of blood therethrough. The structure of said ring is formed by an absorbable main body (1) consisting of a single piece with a circular surface (4), with circular hollow openings (2) that pass all the way through the main body with a vertically orientation. The absorbable character of the ring negates the need for secondary surgery for the extraction thereof. There is currently no type of precursor to a prosthesis designed for this purpose, this invention being innovative and unique in the sector of plastic surgery. |
