titleOfInvention | Automated method for monitoring the medical condition of a patient |
abstract | The invention relates to an automated method for monitoring the medical condition of a patient by means of a patient data management and/or decision-aiding system. Here, the following steps are provided: (a) specifying a first group of physiological and/or pathological parameters of the patient, which are characteristic for the presence of a health impairment, wherein the parameters of the first group are intended to be determined continuously, (b) continuously detecting values of parameters of the first group; (c) continuously determining the necessity of detecting microbiological parameters, on the basis of previously detected values of parameters of the first group or on the basis of previously detected values of parameters of the first group and previously detected values of microbiological parameters; and (d) detecting values of microbiological parameters if the necessity of detecting microbiological parameters was determined in step (c), wherein each microbiological parameter is a microbiological pathogen, which has at least one active ingredient as a first value and the sensitivity of the pathogen to this active ingredient as a second value.<sp /> |
