abstract The present invention relates to a surgical instrument and, more specifically, to a surgical instrument which can be manually operated to be used in laparoscopic surgery or various other kinds of surgery. To this end, the present invention provides a surgical instrument comprising: an end tool formed to be able to rotate in at least two directions; an operation part comprising a pitch operator for controlling the pitch movement of the end tool, a yaw operator for controlling the yaw movement of the end tool, and an actuation operator for controlling the actuation movement of the end tool; a power transmission part which transmits movement of the operation part to the end tool; and a connection part which is formed to be extended in a first direction (an X axis), includes one end to which the end tool is connected, and includes the other end to which the operation part is connected, thereby connecting the operation part and the end tool, wherein at least a portion of the operation part is formed to be extended toward the end tool.
