abstract The present invention addresses the problem of providing a propofol-containing oil-in-water emulsion composition that is highly stable even when filled into a plastic container, and a method for producing the same. The present invention provides a propofol-containing oil-in-water emulsion composition comprising: at least one selected from the group consisting of tris-hydroxymethylaminomethane, phosphoric acid, and triethanolamine; propofol; an oil component; an emulsifier; and water. The dissolved oxygen concentration is 5 mg/L or less and the average particle diameter of the emulsion is 180 nm or less.
