abstract | In one embodiment a vaccine composition comprises two or three AChR subunit constructs and an adjuvant. In some embodiments the AChR subunit construct is an AChR α1 subunit construct, an AChR β1 subunit construct, an AChR γ subunit construct, an AChR δ subunit construct, or an AChR ε subunit construct. In another embodiment, the invention provides a method of treating myasthenia gravis in a patient in need thereof, comprising administering a vaccine composition comprising one or more acetylcholine receptor subunit constructs selected from the group consisting of AChR α1 subunit, AChR β1 subunit, AChR γ subunit, AChR δ subunit, AChR ε subunit, a fragment thereof, and a combination thereof, and an adjuvant. |
