titleOfInvention Method for adjusting mattresses into an operating position and mechanism for performing said method
abstract The invention relates to a method and to a mechanism for adjusting mattresses or chair beds into an operating position. The mechanism comprises extendable guides or telescopic cylinders or drives (6 and 7), in which rods (8 and 9) run, which merge in a joint pin (10), which interacts indirectly or directly with pins of a mattress, which protrude from a center line of the mattress. According to the invention, a parallelogram has joints (22 and 10), which are connected to each other through an elongated-hole guide (41), with one joint (22) that can be moved in the elongated-hole guide (41), wherein the rods (8 and 9) are articulated to the joint pin (10), a bushing (44) being arranged therebetween, wherein the pin (10) extends into a pulley having a restoring spring (43) from one side, on which pulley a cable (42) is wound, which cable is fastened at a free end thereof to the joint (22), wherein, at a certain height of the mattress, that is, at a certain angle between the two rods (8 and 9), the cable (42) is tensioned and the angle is reduced further, wherein the cable causes the rotation of the pulley (43) in such a way that the mattress itself is rotated.
