abstract [Problem] To provide an appetite-suppressing composition derived from a specific liquid food in view of the fact that suppressing the development of obesity due to overeating causing obesity or metabolic syndrome and obesity due to overeating before causing health problems is important in preventing and ameliorating the onset of health problems such as lifestyle-related diseases. [Solution] An appetite-suppressing composition characterized by comprising, as an active component, a liquid food component derived from Indian mulberry ( Morinda citrifolia ). The liquid component may be a liquid food component squeezed from fermented Indian mulberry fruits, and the liquid component may be a liquid food component containing constituents with a molecular weight of 3,000 daltons or more or a liquid food component containing constituents with a molecular weight of 3,000 daltons or less. Also provided is a food that contains the appetite-suppressing composition.
