abstract A seal member according to the present invention comprises a silicone rubber and polyrotaxane. The seal member according to the present invention contains 3 to 10 parts by mass of polyrotaxane relative to 100 parts by mass of the silicone rubber. According to this constitution, molecules of the silicone rubber can slide therebetween and, therefore, the rubber material can be deformed and follow easily in accordance with a stress caused by the insertion/removal of a terminal metal fitting or the like. Consequently, it becomes possible to prevent the seal member from being scratched easily.
