The invention relates to a high-durability, biodegradable paper medium for printing a secure document, in particular a bank note, including cellulose fibres, at a concentration of no less than 70 wt % and less than 100 wt % when dry relative to the total weight of said dry paper medium, additives and auxiliary agents, at least one binder, characterised in that it includes: an oil-repellent and water-repellent adhesive agent made up of an organic compound containing perfluoropolyether (PFPE) groups, at a concentration higher than 0 wt % and no higher than 5 wt % when dry relative to the total weight of the dry paper medium; and at least one biodegradable structural reinforcement agent, selected among those from a plant or animal sources, those synthesised by biotechnological engineering or by genetic engineering and then biotechnological engineering and those which are biosourced and then chemically processed. The invention also relates to the method for manufacturing same. |
