Disclosed is a device for protecting a high-pressure gas tank 10 of a motor vehicle, said device comprising at least one heat-conducting plate 20 and a thermal release unit 30. The heat conducting plate 20 has a distal region D and a proximal region P. The proximal region P is arranged immediately adjacent to the thermal release unit 30 and the distal region D is arranged at a distance from the thermal release unit 30. The heat-conducting plate 20 can be shaped so that it tapers from the distal region D to the proximal region P and/or in the proximal region P itself and/or the heat-conducting plate 20 can comprise heat-conducting fibres 22. |
