Provided is a novel liquid electrolyte with which it is possible to obtain an electrochemical device having a high cycle capacity retention rate, the internal resistance not readily increasing upon repeated charging/discharging. The present invention is a liquid electrolyte characterized in containing a solvent, an electrolyte salt, and a phosphate represented by general formula (1) (R 11 O)(R 12 O)PO 2 M at an amount of 0.001-15% by mass in relation to the solvent. |
