Provided is a means for beneficially solving the problems of increasing separator productivity and further improving adhesiveness between electrodes and a separator in an electrolyte while guaranteeing cell properties. A composition for a nonaqueous secondary cell functional layer contains nonconductive inorganic particles and organic particles, wherein the nonconductive inorganic particles have a difference in density from the organic particles (density of nonconductive inorganic particles − density of organic particles) of 1.5 g/cm 3 or greater, the organic particles have a core-shell structure comprising a core part and a shell part that partially covers the outer surface of the core part, the core part is formed from a polymer having an electrolyte degree of swelling of 500% to 3,000%, and the shell part is formed from a polymer having an electrolyte degree of swelling of greater than 100% but 400% or less. |
