abstract Provided is a polyester film which has excellent stick resistance and which enables high resolution printing in which a slipping layer does not affect a transfer layer at the time of printing. This polyester film has wax on a surface of one side of the film, the wax being distributed in islands on the surface of the film, the coverage of the wax on the film surface being 20 to 45%, and there being not more than one distributed island of wax with an area of 200 μm 2 or larger per 10000 μm 2 .
