abstract |
The ratio of the sum total of the maximum peak intensities of components other than a cordierite component with respect to the peak top intensity of the (110) face of cordierite in an X-ray diffraction pattern for this cordierite sintered compact is 0.0025 or lower. This cordierite sintered compact has extremely few heterogeneous phases other than the cordierite component, and therefore has extremely high surface flatness when the surface thereof is polished to a mirror finish. |
