Provided are: a biomarker for evaluating intracerebral Aβ accumulation using as the index amyloid precursor protein (APP)-derived peptide in a biologically derived sample; and a method for analysis thereof. A biological sample derived from a subject is assayed and at least one ratio selected from the group consisting of APP669-711/APP672-713(Aβ1-42); APP672-709(Aβ1-38)/APP672-713(Aβ1-42); APP674-711(Aβ3-40)/APP672-713(Aβ1-42); APP672-710(Aβ1-39)/APP672-713(Aβ1-42); APP672-711(Aβ1-40)/APP672-713(Aβ1-42); and APP672-711(OxAβ1-40)/APP672-713(Aβ1-42) is found. Assuming that the ratios in a person of normal cognitive function NC- who tests negative for intracerebral Aβ accumulation are the standard levels, if a subject ratio is higher than the corresponding standard level ratio, the amount of cerebral Aβ accumulation of a subject is determined to be higher than the amount of cerebral Aβ accumulation of a person of normal cognitive function NC-. |
