| abstract | A computer (1), under the monitoring and control of an operating system (2), executes a container (3), under the monitoring and control of which the computer (1) executes a number of applications (5). The computer receives from a user (6), when processing the operating system (2), inputs (EB1, EB2) which are intended for a respective one of the applications (5), and forwards these to the container (3). When processing the container (3), the computer (1) checks whether this is a useful input (EB2) or a control input (EB1). The computer (1) forwards useful inputs (EB2) to the respective application (5) when processing the container (3). For control inputs (EB1), the computer (1) determines in each case a control input (EA1) to be forwarded to the respective application (5) and forwards this to the respective application (5). The computer (1) also receives outputs (AA1, AA2) from the applications (5). When processing the container (3), the computer (1) checks whether this is a useful output (AA2) or a control output (AA1). The computer (1) forwards useful outputs (AA2) to the operating system (2) when processing the container (3). For control outputs (AA1), the computer (1) determines in each case a control output (AB1) to be forwarded to the operating system (2) and forwards this to the operating system (2). The computer (1) outputs the outputs (AB1, AB2) to the user (6). |
