abstract |
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a bead filler rubber composition that has excellent low heat generation properties after vulcanization and that has a high modulus; and a pneumatic tire that is produced using the rubber composition. This bead filler rubber composition comprises a diene rubber, a carbon black, and a nitrone compound that has a carboxy group. The diene rubber comprises natural rubber and a styrene-butadiene rubber. The content of the natural rubber in the total of the diene rubber and the nitrone compound is 60 mass% or more. The content of the styrene-butadiene rubber in the total of the diene rubber and the nitrone compound is 40 mass% or less. The content of the carbon black is 40-80 parts by mass with respect to a total of 100 parts by mass of the diene rubber and the nitrone compound. The content of the nitrone compound is 0.1-10 parts by mass with respect to a total of 100 parts by mass of the diene rubber and the nitrone compound. |
