abstract The present invention relates to an ophthalmic treatment device and a method of operating same, and provides an ophthalmic treatment device and a method of operating same, the device comprising: a treatment beam generating unit for generating a treatment beam; a beam delivery unit for forming a path through which the treatment beam generated by the treatment beam generating unit travels to a treatment region disposed in a fundus; a monitoring unit for irradiating a detecting beam along the path through which the treatment beam travels, and detecting information of the state of the treatment region based on interference information on the detecting beam reflected from the treatment region; and a controller for controlling the operation of the treatment beam generating unit based on information on the state of the treatment region detected by the monitoring unit.
