Provided herein is a method of prolonging protein stability, which may be used for the stabilization of any protein therapeutic for use in treating any disease type. For example, a stilbenoid (e.g., resveratrol) may be used to enhance EndoCD protein stability, which may sensitize tumors to the targeted anti-angiogenic and chemotherapeutic effects of 5-FC, thereby providing a new therapeutic approach for cancer. |
