abstract |
The present invention provides for methods and compositions that use visible dyes for the identification of reagents and solutions that are used to perform PCR assays. In particular, a method of preparing a plurality of reaction mixtures for performing qPCR amplification of a plurality of target nucleic acids, is provided, comprising providing a first mastermix solution comprising a first visible dye and a second mastermix solution comprising a second visible dye distinguishable from the first dye. As alternative, a first mastermix solution comprises a visible dye in a first predetermined concentration and a second mastermix solution comprises said visible dye in a second predetermined concentration, so that said two master mixes can be distinguishable from each other. |
