abstract |
[Problem] The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a particulate water absorbent that has a high water absorption factor under pressure and has reduced moisture absorption blocking properties; and a method for producing said water absorbent. [Solution] A particulate water absorbent that contains a water-insoluble metal phosphate comprising a phosphate anion and a divalent or trivalent metal cation and having a crystallite size of less than 0.15 µm, wherein the water absorption factor under a pressure of 2.06 kpa is at least 20 g/g. |
