abstract The present invention relates to a fiber-reinforced composite material and a method for manufacturing the same. A first binder resin (18) is applied to a first portion (12a) for forming a deformed part (16a) of a fiber base material (12), and a second binder resin (20) is applied to a second portion (12b) excluding the first portion (12a). The fiber base material (12) is then heated so that the degree of melting of the first binder resin (18) during shaping is less than the degree of melting of the second binder resin (20), and the second binder resin (20) is softened. Shaping is then performed so that a deformed part (16a) is formed in the fiber base material (12), and a preform (16) is obtained. A fiber-reinforced composite material (10) is obtained using the preform (16) as a molding precursor.
