abstract This connector (1) is provided with: a housing (2) having defined therein an insertion section (5) into which a male connector (100) is inserted from the outside, the housing (2) also having defined therein a flow passage (6) communicating with the insertion section (5); and an elastic valve body (3) having a slit (11) and closing the insertion section (5). A liquid striking surface (39) is integrally formed on an inner wall which defines the flow passage (6). When the male connector (100) has been inserted into the insertion section (5), the liquid striking surface (39) faces the front end opening (104) of the male connector (100) in the direction (B) of insertion of the male connector (100), and the liquid striking surface (39) is struck by liquid flowing out of the front end opening (104).
