abstract Embodiments of the present technology relate to travel booking optimization using preferences. A method includes receiving corporate hotel booking preferences that define hotels or hotel groups that offer discount rates for a corporation, receiving hotel selection criteria from a user, applying the corporate hotel booking preferences to hotels that correspond to the hotel selection criteria, and displaying to a travel agent system hotels that correspond to the hotel selection criteria such that hotels that are included in the corporate hotel booking preferences are displayed differently from hotels that are not included in the corporate hotel booking preferences.
