titleOfInvention Seal member for degradable downhole tool, downhole tool, and well-drilling method
abstract Provided are a seal member for a downhole tool, the member being formed of a polymer material that contains 5 mass parts or more of a degradable material (e.g., a polymer compound, an organic compound, or an inorganic compound) per 100 mass parts of polymer material, and preferably experiencing a 5% or greater decrease in mass or in compressive stress at 50% strain subsequent to immersion in 150°C water for 24 hours/experiencing a 5-100% decrease in mass subsequent to immersion in 150°C water for 72 hours/having hardness of A60-D80/a flexural modulus of 0.005-10 GPa at 23°C/having the ability to maintain a stable state in a dry environment, and to decompose in fluid at 66°C or above/or having tensile strain at break of 50% or above at 66°C, compressive strength of 10 MPa or above, and compressive strain at break of 50% or above; a downhole tool such as a well-drilling plug; and a well-drilling method.
