abstract |
The invention relates to a friction lining (1), notably intended to be used in a dry friction clutch for a motor vehicle. The friction lining contains, by weight, 10 to 20% of glass fibre. More than 90%, by weight, of the glass fibre is grouped in the form of fibreglass strands in excess of 2.5 mm long and/or less than 4 mm long. More than 30% by number of the fibreglass strands have a width of more than 0.5 mm. The invention also relates to a clutch including such a friction lining and to methods of manufacturing such a lining and such a clutch. |
