titleOfInvention Fully optically controlled phased array radar transmitter
abstract A fully optically controlled phased array transmitter that is based on a multi-wavelength light source and an optical true time delay unit and integrates a tunable optoelectronic oscillator and optical time delay networks comprises: a multi-wavelength light source (1), a first wavelength division multiplexer (2), a first optical splitter (3), a first electrooptical modulator (4), a second optical splitter (5), a first optical amplifier (6), a first optical time delay network (7), an optoelectronic detector (8), an electric amplifier (9), a direct-current block (10), a second electrooptical modulator (11), a second optical amplifier (12), a second optical time delay network (13), an optical combiner (14), a second wavelength division multiplexer (15), an optical fiber or optical cable (16), an optoelectronic detector array (17), a T/R assembly array (18), a microwave antenna array (19), a 1×2 optical switch (20) and a 2×2 optical switch (25), a circulator (21), a third wavelength division multiplexer (22), an optical fiber (23) of a precise length and a faraday rotator mirror (24). The fully optically controlled phased array radar transmitter has the advantages of ultra wide band and zero aperture effect of an optically controlled phased array radar, and further is capable of working at different microwave bands and realizing rapid frequency hopping, and also has the advantages of being simple and compact in structure and low in cost and the like.
