The present invention provides a method for establishing mammalian trophoblast stem cells under chemically-defined conditions by cultivating mammalian trophectoderm or extraembryonic ectoderm in a culture medium containing FGF, an activin signaling pathway agonist, and a Wnt signal inhibitor. Moreover, the present invention provides a method for maintaining and cultivating mammalian trophoblast stem cells under chemically-defined conditions by cultivating mammalian trophoblast stem cells in a culture medium containing FGF, an activin signaling pathway agonist, and a Wnt signal inhibitor. |
