abstract Provided is a resin-coated metal sheet which is for use in a container and which can ensure excellent take-out properties and fulfill various characteristics stably. This resin-coated metal sheet has a resin layer (A) which has a polyester-based multilayer structure and which lies on a side such that the metal sheet is formed into a container with the side as the inner surface of the container. The resin-coated metal sheet satisfies the following requirements: (1) the resin layer (A) contains at least 85mol% of terephthalic acid; (2) the resin layer (A) is composed of at least two layers, and the uppermost resin layer (a1), which is to come into contact with contents, contains a wax compound in an amount of 0.10 to 2.0mass% relative to the uppermost resin layer (a1); (3) when the cross section of the uppermost resin layer (a1) is measured using a laser with a polarization plane parallel to the surface of the resin layer (a1), the maximum value of Raman band intensity ratio (I 1720 /I 1615 ) is 0.45 to 0.80; (4) the thickness of the uppermost resin layer (a1) is 0.5 to 10μm; and (5) the thickness of the resin layer (A) exclusive of the thickness of the uppermost resin layer (a1) is 5 to 20μm.
