abstract |
A resin shock-absorbing member which is formed from a fiber-reinforced resin material that includes a thermoplastic resin and reinforcing fibers, and which has a shock-absorbing part with a hollow structure comprising an outer cylinder part and a hollow part, said resin shock-absorbing member being characterized in that: the reinforcing fibers have an average fiber length of 1-100 mm; the thermoplastic resin has a fracture elongation of 10% or greater; the fiber-reinforced resin material has a compressive elasticity modulus of 10 GPa or greater and a compressive strength of 150-500 MPa; and in the shock-absorbing part, the length (L1) from the centroid to the outer cylinder part within the cross-sectional shape in the direction orthogonal to the shock absorption direction and the thickness (t1) of the outer cylinder part are such that the maximum value of the ratio (L1/t1) is 40 or less. |
