Electroactive polymer binders for silicon anodes |
abstract |
We provide a series of poly(amic-acid) binders based on different di-anhydride and amine momoners. These functional polymers have good compability with silicon particle in a polar organic solvent and can, in-situ , form a stable artificial SEI interlayer during the initial several cycles. In addition, these binders also have suitable mechanical performance to adapt the large volume changes of silicon anode during cycling. These can significantly improve the electrochemical performance of silicon anode, especially at high temperature and high active materials loading. |
